I ask that women avoid spray tanning 2 days prior to the shoot. Shave, clean up nails, and do not color hair 2 days prior. Come with no makeup and clean dry hair.
Bring 3-4 outfits that you feel amazing in. Don’t stress, I have a collection of gowns ranging from 00-22w.
From the initial contact, we set up a date and time to talk about the session and what to expect. When the day of the session arrives, you will be greeted with champagne, or coffee. Take a seat and relax, the next hour is when the hair and makeup artist does her magic while we chat and get to know each other. Once the hair and makeup is complete, we decide on the first outfit and start shooting. I will guide you though every look and motion, there is no need to be nervous or self-conscious. The shoot is so much fun. For me it’s like playing dress up with a new friend.
Women are often shocked at how empowering and revitalizing the experience is. This experience is so much fun. Then comes time for the images. 2 weeks later I present 20 of my favorite edited images in a beautiful portfolio box. The box contains 7×10 prints with matts. This is the most exciting part for me. I get the joy of seeing reactions to the portraits. Tears, jaw drops, hugs, it’s the best reward.
I offer printed images rather than digitals for many reasons. A digital copy comes with each purchased print. Photography is art, and art is created to make the viewer feel a certain way. For this emotion to be communicated, the art must be properly displayed. Too often our images are stuck on a computer and they never get the justice they deserve. By all means, share the heck out of your digital files. You will love all the amazing feedback and kind words. Fair warning- You will have people saying lovely things you’ve never heard or have a hard time believing… it’s the kind of thing a girl could get used to. The experience is addicting!
Another reason I print images- floppy discs. In ten years a disc or USB will be obsolete. I can not tell you how many calls I’ve gotten from frantic clients “my computer crashed, I lost my pictures”. I have never had anyone lose a printed image. I do keep everything backed up and saved, but I prefer trusty prints.
When my mom was sick, she too a course offered by the hospital called Look Good Feel Good. I quickly noticed the impact of “looking good” and how if effected my mom. If a little makeup and hair spray can make a woman feel incredible, why stop there? My glamour sessions are about making women feel like a super model they compare themselves to.
I am a professional women’s photographer in the south metro. I am driven by the need to show women how beautiful and perfect they are. My mission is to build confidence in women and redefine beauty. I also educate clients on the importance of being photographed and existing in photographs since our portraits will cherished long after we are gone. My passion is to help women feel gorgeous and comfortable while creating lasting portraits. Communication is my greatest strength. I establish strong relationships with all of my clients. The glamour sessions are rejuvenating, and an experience that helps builds self-confidence. I have an eye for natural light and crop tight.
My clients are typically 50+ years of age. The glamour session is a fun day celebrating inner and outer beauty. Sessions include hair, makeup, and mimosas.
I lead with blue energy, which means I have extremely high standards for my work. I have an eye for details and ensure that the delivered product is flawless.
My compassion for others has encouraged volunteer work with non profit organizations. I photograph precious angel babies and their families with Now I Lay Me Down Sleep to help families remember their brief moments with their child. As an affiliate photographer with the Magic Hour Foundation, I photograph families affected by illness so that they can have lasting portraits of their loved one. I also am involved with the American Cancer Society. I help fundraise and photograph the local Relay for Life Event. It’s inspiring to be surrounded by such courageous people.
